Suzan's commitment to the success of the Torrance Art Museum Advocates (TAMA) in both the creation and perpetuation of the group is what makes her stand out.  Her experience in starting a volunteer group served as a defining leadership quality, without which the group would cease to exist.

Suzan volunteered to be the President of TAMA, developed a long term Strategic Plan, was instrumental in the creation of the Articles of Association and the organizational Bylaws which govern the group and produced the first Annual Report for the group as well.  Suzan's major accomplishment was the completion of the application to obtain TAMA's 501(c)(3) tax exempt Public Charity status with the IRS enabling members and donors to deduct the costs of their memberships.  This was a very long and laborious process, but she admirably stuck with it to the end.

The three words which best describe Suzan are persistence, perseverance and positive!  No matter how daunting a task appeared she tackled it with tenacious enthusiasm and glowing results.
